Black Rock Hot Springs is a peaceful natural hot spring along the Rio Grande in the scenic Rio Grande Gorge, just north of Taos. Located about 25 minutes from town, the trailhead begins at the first switchback after crossing the John Dunn Bridge. From there, it’s an easy 0.2–0.3 mile walk (about 5–10 minutes each way) to the springs. Two primitive, clothing-optional soaking pools sit beside the river, making it a relaxing stop surrounded by dramatic canyon scenery.
