Bandelier Tsankawi | Trail & Camel Rock New Mexico

In this video, I explore Tsankawi Trail, a detached section of Bandelier National Monument known for its narrow, hand-carved pathways and wooden ladders leading up to mesa-top ruins. It’s a different experience from the main canyon—more exposed, less crowded, and with a stronger sense of how people moved through the landscape centuries ago. After Tsankawi, I stop by Camel Rock, a natural formation along the highway that actually lives up to the name. This video captures the contrast between archaeological hiking and quick roadside landmarks, giving a real look at what a second day exploring this region feels like.
