White Rock Overlook offers sweeping views of the Rio Grande and the rugged walls of White Rock Canyon. Located just south of Los Alamos, the overlook sits high above the river, providing a dramatic perspective of the landscape carved by the Rio Grande over millions of years.

An easy walk from the parking area leads to several viewing platforms where visitors can take in the canyon, distant mountains, and the winding river far below. The overlook is especially popular at sunrise and sunset, when the canyon walls glow with shades of red, orange, and gold. The site also has access to nearby trails, including routes that descend into White Rock Canyon and connect to the Rio Grande. Benches, picnic areas, and interpretive displays make it a convenient stop for travelers exploring the Los Alamos area.
